Blurb: Escape to beautiful France this summer with this uplifting romantic comedy.
Where dreams come true…?
Wendy Clayton stopped believing in fairy tales a long time ago. Instead, she has a ‘nice’ life. Nice job. Nice flat. Absolutely no men. Until her life is turned upside-down when her elderly neighbour, Eulalie, passes away and leaves her the Château of Happily Ever Afters!
But there’s a catch: she must share the sprawling French castle with Eulalie’s long-lost nephew, Julian. And no matter how gorgeous he is, or how easily she finds herself falling head over heels, Wendy needs to find a way to get rid of him…
Because surely happily ever afters don’t happen in real life?
Review: Firstly better late than never! It’s been a crazy week for me and I was hoping to spend my day off engrossed by this gorgeous book but the beaming sun gave me other ideas namely a splitting headache, since then I have had a number of interruptions but I’m finally ready to share my thoughts.
I remember when I first saw this cover and Jenny was asking who wanted to be on the cover reveal and then the blog tour and I jumped at the chance. I hadn’t read anything by Jaimie before this but I definitely will read more from her.
Wow wow wow!!!!! This book stirred up so many emotions I was laughing and crying I literally fell in love with the characters especially Wendy and Julian and I too feel like I kind of know Eulalie.
As you would have seen my various wandering Wednesday’s I’m often wandering and this time it’s to France. A place that in my life I have had mixed feelings towards but the chateau sounds picturesque to jet off and change my life like Wendy and Julian have is just what I need right now.
Jaimie thank you for giving me a book that has made me question a lot of the things I say and do. Sometimes taking a step outside of your comfort zone is exactly what you need.
I love that the story is kind of left open- I would love to see these characters revisited and I desperately want to read more from Jaimie. I loved trying to power read to make this all happen and I’m glad I did this book is one of my faves from 2017 and I will definitely be recommending to anyone who will listen.
To honour the fact this post is so late it’s almost tomorrow I won’t be posting tomorrow. Have a wonderful weekend whatever you are doing and share with me what you are reading.
There is a gorgeous giveaway that I almost forgot.
